For those of you not familiar with the 911 Turbo Cabriolet, let me tell you a bit more, generally and specifically, about this car.  The 911 Turbo is a true Supercar, by any definition.  With twin turbochargers producing 480 horsepower, the acceleration of this car is startling. First and second gear go by so fast you actually have to plan ahead not to hit the rev limiter.  And although it has a published top speed of 196 MPH, the 2009 Turbo has been taken past 200.  Not mine, but someone's grin.  Imagine going 200 miles per hour...in a convertible.  This car also include the Sport Chrono option (must have) which, when the “sport” setting is engaged, provides turbo overboost and an additional 40 lb feet of torque for 10 seconds.  And yes you can feel that.

But at the same time the 911 Turbo is a luxurious and supremely comfortable, with a superb cockpit heating and cooling, 12 way power seats with heating AND cooling, full leather interior, a wonderful BOSE stereo system, XM satellite radio, onboard navigation, bluetooth, the works.  It even has a two cup holders!  It's a 2+2 configuration, so you can fit small children in the back, or use that space for additional storage, along with a nice sized glovebox and generous trunk in the front (frunk).  I also purchased a Cabriolet wind deflector ($400) that keeps the cockpit calm with the top down. This car is equally home on the track or on a cross country tour.

Supercars can cost a lot to own.  Depreciation, maintenance, and repairs are expensive.  But not always... Recent generations of Porsche vehicles have overall excellent reliability, and speaking for three years I have owned this car, I have had zero problems.  Nothing.  I put new tires and a new battery in it, did oil changes and services, and that's it.  I won't lie to you, servicing is pricey, but not compared to other supercars, by far.  And many people believe this particular year and model, because of it's rarity, will appreciate over the years.  It has lost very little value in the years I've owned it.

Let me tell you about the additions that have been made to this car.  First, when I test drove my first Turbo, it was love at first drive, but Turbos were designed to be a grand touring sports cars, and they sound like a sewing machine.  I didn't care for that.  This car has an aftermarket Tubi Style exhaust system, which cost over $5000.00.  This particular exhaust is perfect for this car.  It is designed to produce a lovely but not overpowering note while cruising, but to really open up when you are driving aggressively.  I believe you will like it.  With the top up at highway speeds it's very quiet inside, but it sounds great when driving hard.  As a bonus, the exhaust adds 20 HP, putting the car over the magic 500HP mark.

Next are the HRE P43 black mono-block forged alloy wheels.  In addition to being a beautiful compliment to the Carrara White paint color, they are lighter and stronger than the factory wheels and enhance the suspension and handling of the car by minimizing unsprung mass and reducing rotational inertia.  This was another $5000.00 addition.

This car is also equipped with Bilstein B15 Damptronic performance suspension system.  The Bilstein B16 DampTronic® kit is designed to integrate directly with the exclusive Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system. This coilover system of monotube shock absorbers has been fine-tuned to produce the finest performance possible from the car's electronically controlled suspension module. In other words, sharper and more precise handling than the factory suspension. Installed and properly set up, about $4500.00.

This car also has a 3M clear bra paint protection on vital areas of the front of the car.  $1000.00
